Lithuania’s national broadcaster, LRT have today announced a complete overhaul in the voting procedure that will take place in tonight’s final of Eurovizijos dainų konkurso nacionalinė atranka.

The voting changes will affect both the televote and how the jury votes will be calculated. Both will still be weighted in the same way, with 50% of the vote each, and the jury making any final decision in the event of a tie break situation.

Regarding the televote, for the final there will be a ten vote limit on each phone number that attempts to vote in the final, in order to prevent fraudulent voting.

The jury system has been completely overhauled for tonight’s show. There will be 12 jurors in tonight’s show; a mix of both national music industry experts and LRT executives, and several international music producers. Each of tonight’s seven acts will draw, at random, 7 of those 12 jurors who’s votes will actually count towards their total in the final voting.

The change has been made in order to liven up the voting sequence and create a much more suspense. LRT have also said that this change will help bring much more transparency in the voting so the ordinary public will be able to see exactly how each individual juror has voted, rather than all of the votes being pooled together.

The Final will take place at 20:00 and can be streamed internationally on LRTs website.

The interval act will feature Donny Montell singing his new single ‘Screw me up’ as well as Moldovan entrants this year, Sunstroke Project.

The Seven Potential Finalists:

  1. Paula "Let U Go"

  2. Gabrielius Vagelis - "Feel Myself Free"

  3. Greta Zazza - "Like I Love You"

  4. Fusedmarc - "Rain of Revolution"

  5. Aistė Pilvelytė - "I'm Like a Wolf"

  6. Gytis Ivanauskas - "Get Frighten"

  7. Kotryna Juodzevičiūtė - "Love Shadow"
