O.Torvald have been drawn to perform 22nd in the final of the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine.

The running order draw for the host country of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 has taken place this afternoon in Kyiv. The draw sees the host country randomly pick one of running order slots in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest, this ensures that the shows producers are unable to influence where they place Ukraine in the show.

Slot 22 in the final has a mixed record over the past ten years, having been the slot that Lena won the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 from for Germany. But has also seen three countries finish in the bottom 20 from. Traditionally slots in the second half of the show are deemed to be stronger position to win the contest from.

Results from running order slot 22 in the past ten years:

- 2016 - Malta - 12th

- 2015 - Hungary - 20th

- 2014 - Malta - 23rd

- 2013 - Ukraine - 3rd

- 2012 - FYR Macedonia - 13th

- 2011 - Spain - 23rd

- 2010 - Germany - 1st

- 2009 - Romania - 19th

- 2008 - Spain - 16th

- 2007 - Turkey - 4th

Questions have however been raised at to whether Sweden should also be required to be drawn at random for their running order position in the first half of the first semi final. These questions have been a result of Christer Bjorkman, the man behind the Sweden's selection process and a Producer of last years contest in Stockholm, being brought on to help produce this years contest in Ukraine.

A total of 43 countries are competing in the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. Bosnia & Herzegovina is withdrawing from this years contest, while Portugal and Romania are returning after a one year absence.
