Serbia have released their song “In Too Deep” for the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine, sung by Tijana Bogićević.

Today Serbia’s broadcaster RTS have released their song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. “In Too Deep” is sung by internally selected Tijana Bogićević, and is written by Borislav Milanov, Joacim Bo Persson, Johan Alkenas and Lisa Ann-Mari Linder. The team are successful producers, composers and founders of the Symphonix International group, and were part of the winning team in 2014 with Conchita’s “Rise Like A Phoenix” for Austria. More recently they were part of the team of authors for Bulgaria’s 2016 entry “If Love Was A Crime” by Poli Genova. The reveal of the song follows the snippet that was released on the official Eurovision YouTube channel earlier in the week, which featured a 30 second clip of the backing track.

Tijana Bogićević was internally selected back in February to represent Serbia in Kyiv, Ukraine. Tijana isn’t new to Eurovision, as she performed as a backing vocalist for Nina Radojičić at the 2011 contest in Dusseldorf, Germany with the song "Caroban". She also attempted to represent Serbia in 2009 where she participated in Beovizija 2009, the Serbian selection at the time, but didn’t advance past the semi-final.

Serbia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest at the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland. Serbia won the contest on their debut represented by Marija Serifovic and the song “Molitva”, it was the first song since 1995 to be performed entirely in a language other than English. Marija scored a total of 268 points beating runners up Ukraine. Serbia did not compete in the 2014 contest in Denmark due to financial difficulties. To date Serbia has finished inside the top.10 in the final on four occasions.
