Moldova's Sunstroke Project Release "Hey Mamma!" Music Video

The official music video for Moldova's Eurovision 2017 entry "Hey Mamma!" has been released today.

Today the official music video for "Hey Mamma", the Moldovan entry for the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest has been released. The band who are returning to the Eurovision Song Contest for a second time, have worked over the past couple of weeks to produce the video. The group won the Moldovan selection process on February 25, winning the televote by over 1,000 votes and finishing second with the jury.

Since winning O Melodie Pentru Europa 2017, Sunstroke Project have traveled across Europe promoting their song for this years Eurovision Song Contest. In the past week they have traveled to the national selection finals in Romania, Greece and Lithuania. Furthermore they spent the first part of this past week in Estonia. Today the group has also confirmed their attendance at Eurovision in Concert next month in the Netherlands.

Sunstroke Project last participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010 alongside Olia Tira, they qualified for the final with "Runaway" but finished 22nd. Since then they have attempted to represent Moldova at the contest on a further three occasions. In 2015 they narrowly missed out on returning the contest finishing 3rd in the national final.

Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest:

Moldova debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 when the contest was last held in Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2005 Moldova debuted in the contest alongside Bulgaria, while that year Hungary also returned to the contest having been absent since 1998. Moldova is currently in its worse run of results in their history in the contest, having failed to make the final since 2013. At the 2016 contest in Stockholm, the country finished 17th in their semi-final scoring a total of 33 points.
